AI Surge at MEXC: Tokenized US Trades Up 81%, Semis Lead Futures
MEXC reported sharp September increases across AI-linked trading, including an 81% month‑over‑month rise in tokenized U.S. stock spot volume and an 88% jump in AI‑related asset volume, according to data released by the exchange.
AI-linked spot and tokenized stocks
MEXC said AI‑linked products made up 48% of tokenized U.S. stock and ETF spot trading on its platform in September, up from 44% in August. The exchange’s data indicates AI‑related trading growth outpaced the 63% increase it recorded for non‑AI assets.
According to MEXC, six AI‑focused companies ranked among its 10 most‑traded tokenized U.S. stocks and ETFs, generating 59% of the combined volume for that group. Crypto‑related firms occupied the other four spots with 41% of volume.
The exchange attributed broadening interest beyond chipmakers to areas such as power equipment and optical networking. Four subsectors posted month‑over‑month gains above 90%, per MEXC: semiconductors and memory (+100%), optical communications and networking (+99%), power and energy equipment (+96%), and computing infrastructure and data centers (+91%).
Hardware-heavy derivatives
MEXC reported that semiconductor and memory assets held five of the top 10 positions by futures trading volume, representing 77% of the total among that tier. Micron Technology, SK Hynix, and SanDisk Corp. placed first, second, and third, and together accounted for 67% of top‑10 futures volume, the exchange said. The Direxion Daily Semiconductor Bull 3X Shares ETF and Nvidia Corp. also ranked in the top 10.
Pre‑IPO futures and new listings
The exchange said overall Pre‑IPO Futures trading volume rose 60% month over month, while Japanese stock futures grew 47%. MEXC added a dedicated listing section for Taiwanese equities and increased its traditional finance futures trading pairs by 15%.
Among Pre‑IPO contracts, MEXC reported September volume gains of 115% for Moonshot AI, 99% for Enflame, and 51% for OpenAI. The platform added Pre‑IPO futures for Polymarket, memory maker YMTC, and health technology firm Oura.
What MEXC says it now offers
According to the exchange, it supports more than 450 stock and index futures pairs, over 200 tokenized U.S. equities, and access to more than 7,000 U.S. stocks and ETFs via its RealStocks offering.
CEO viewpoint
“September’s data show that demand for AI‑related trading is expanding beyond chips into the broader value chain,” said MEXC Chief Executive Officer Vugar Usi. “For trading platforms, the challenge is not simply to expand asset coverage, but to adapt to users’ evolving trading needs.”
